The DEC coordinates the Doctoral Program « Frontiers in Cognition », whose principal mission is to attribute doctoral grants to students who hold a Master’s in cognitive science or another diploma that provides the necessary bases to carry out doctoral research in one or more disciplines of cognitive science. The scope of the research that will be financed is defined by higher mental abilities, such as perception, attention, decision, consciousness, reasoning, language, emotions, action, and social competences.

Two doctoral grants per year are offered by the DEC. These grants are attributed to students who wish to pursue their doctoral research in one of the teams of the DEC . They are advertised by the ED3C (Graduate School « Brain, Cognition, Behavior »). The modalities of submission and selection are the same as those for the other doctoral grants attributed by this Graduate School : registration of research topics by the teams of the Graduate School at the end of March, submission of candidatures at the end of June, and auditions of pre-selected candidates by an interdisciplinary committee at the beginning of July.

Interested students are invited to contact a potential thesis advisor in one of the teams at the DEC
