My research focuses on the neural correlates of emotional processing in both healthy and clinical samples. The projects I am currently working on investigate the relation between motivation, emotion and action in everyday-like social contexts. In particular, I am studying how seeing threatening facial expressions in others influences our action choices and which are the EEG signatures of this influence. In the future, uncovering these mechanisms could provide insight into motivational and affective dysregulation in emotion-related psychopathologies, such as anxiety and depression.
