Anne Christophe received the Légion d’Honneur

Anne Christophe has received the Légion d’Honneur at the rank of Chevalier. This distinction rewards 27 years of service in research and higher education.

Anne Christophe is a research director at the CNRS, at the Laboratoire de Sciences Cognitives et Psycholinguistique (LSCP) of the DEC, which she directed until 2017. 
She is also Deputy Director of Science at ENS-PSL and a member of the Conseil Scientifique de l'Education Nationale. 

After her studies at the École Polytechnique, Anne Christophe moved to cognitive science, and completed her PhD at the LSCP of which she later became director. Her work at the LSCP focuses on language acquisition by young children. She is particularly interested in the synergies between language and grammar learning. She is interested in understanding how young children use their syntactic knowledge to guess the meaning of previously unknown words. Author of numerous articles in scientific journals, Anne Christophe is also very involved in the popularization of science. She has contributed to many documentaries on language acquisition.
