Each year, the École normale supérieure (ENS) offers about 20 scholarships to international students, across all academic disciplines (including cognitive science and linguistics). Each year about 2 of these scholarships are awarded to students wanting to attend the Department d'Études Cognitives (DEC).
These 3-year scholarships are intended for 2 categories of international students:
(1) Students with an undergraduate degree, who will directly in the 2-year master's program (Master of cognitive science) + have a third year of funding
(2) Students who will do their last year of undergraduate studies at the ENS before enrolling in the 2-year master's program (Master of cognitive science)
DEC students selected by the International Selection have the possibility to apply for the ENS doctoral scholarships at the end of their master scholarship, if they wish to continue their training with a 3-year doctorate.
Applicants are selected in two steps:
There are two separate tracks, one in the Humanities and one in the Sciences.
Students can be admitted into the DEC through either track. To learn the differences between these two options read the section Procedure here.
For more information on the international selection procedure, see the ENS website.
