Lecture given at Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes by Stefano Palminteri (LNC2) on March 11, 2019 as part of the 21st edition of La Semaine du Cerveau.
From Pavlov's dog to Deep Mind's AlphaGo algorithm, trial and error learning is a central topic in a variety of research areas such as psychology, neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Stefano Palminteri presents the psychological and neuro-biological basis of this process and studies how certain cognitive biases affect our ability to evaluate our mistakes.
