"Nuit des Sciences et Lettres : Les Origines (the Origins)"

The "Nuit des Sciences et Lettres" 2019 will take place at ENS (45 rue d'Ulm) on June 7 from 5:30 pm to 2 am. After the "Nuit de la Philosophie", the "Nuit Sartre", the "Nuit des Sciences", the "Nuit des Sciences et Lettres" on the theme "Explain!", the École normale supérieure will once again open its doors. A program built around the theme "The Origins".

The ENS nights are transdisciplinary events. This year's theme will certainly stimulate many debates in all disciplines of the humanities, social sciences, sciences and the arts.

Some researchers from the Département d‘Etudes Cognitives will participate in the event: Anne Christophe (LSCP) will talk about the origin of language with Déborah Lévy-Bertherat (Comparative literature), Nicolas Baumard (IJN/ESC) will join the archeologist Christophe Goddard to discuss the origin of the great religions. Julie Grèzes (LNC2) and Lou Safra (SciencesPo) will discuss the origin of emotional expression. Jean-Baptiste André (IJN/ESC) will talk about the origins of cooperation with the economist Antonin Macé. Finally, Paul Égré (IJN) and Jackson Graves (LSP) will talk about the origin of perception.

The ENS nights are free events.
